The holiday accommodation at Hiccombe is a delightful apartment on the first floor, featuring beautiful country views south down this oak-wooded Exmoor  valley.

  • One double bedroom
  • Very quiet & relaxing location
  • Plenty of space for two people
  • Private, off road parking
  • Cottage garden with furniture

The Cottage nestles in a beautiful, green and peaceful valley, on a  no-thro lane.  This is a hidden little gem of southern Exmoor, with a charm all of its own.  There are superb country walks from the cottage, down the Haddeo valley, around Wimbleball Lake and up on the heathland of Haddon Hill, with some glorious views.  This is also an ideal spot for moutain biking, with many bridleways, forest and heathland tracks and narrow country lanes.

The accommodation, which is on the first floor, features a double bedroom with wash basin, a lounge with electric fire, colour TV, radio and southerly views, bathroom with bath and toilet, kitchen/diner (also with super views down the valley). The kitchen has a fridge (with small freezer compartment), microwave, electric cooker, toaster etc and dining area.

The apartment is reached via a small but quite steep staircase from the hallway and front door.  The ground floor is very rarely used by the owners as a hobby pottery, so has no 'neighbours'.

The cottage garden is private with lovely views
of the beautiful woodland down the valley, and
the southerly aspect makes this a very relaxing
place to enjoy a lazy lunch, listening to the birds.

The owners, Mary and Alastair, live in the next cottage up the lane, and are usually about should you have any queries.
